Albert Wang is a Director at Qualcomm Ventures. His current investment focuses are mobile cloud computing and cross-platform solutions with an expanded interest in disruptive startups that harness the confluence of social, mobile, and cloud computing trends. Albert led the investment and currently serves as board observer for Avalanche Technology, BlueStacks, Cavendish Kinetics, Fiksu, Gaikai (acquired by Sony), MapR, PLUMgrid, and Steelhouse. Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, Albert worked in various engineering and management roles in the wireless industry. Most recently, he worked in Lux Capital focusing on MEMS and nanotechnology startups in the wireless industry. He also spent 4 years at Skyworks Solutions and managed the full lifecycle of several wireless chips that power the most popular smartphones today. Before Skyworks, he played a key technical role in Tavanza, an RFIC startup that was acquired by Anadigics. Albert received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
