As CEO and Founder, Alex created Waterline Data to leverage the power and scalability of Hadoop to automate the inventory of data assets in the data lake and enable self-service with governance. Alex was GM of Informatica’s Data Quality Business Unit. Alex joined Informatica from IBM, where he was a Distinguished Engineer. IBM acquired Alex's second startup, Exeros. Previously, Alex was co-founder, CTO and VP of Engineering at Acta Technology (now SAP Business Objects Data Services). Prior to Acta, Alex ran development of Replication Server at Sybase. Alex holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University School of Engineering and a M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
