Andy is Manager of Field Enablement for MapR, where he spearheads efforts on demo creation, use case materials, ecosystem component testing and migration, and POC best practices. In addition, he is the field liaison to the Product Management and Engineering teams. Prior to MapR, Andy spent eight years at Isilon Systems in various roles, including escalations, delivery, and finally as the Principal Systems Engineer lead for Eastern North America. In his final two years at Isilon, he spent much of his time working on Hadoop opportunities, which gave him the chance to dip his toes into the waters of Big Data. Andy currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. When not staring at screens of varying size, he enjoys road bicycling, hiking, and (attempting) home improvement projects.
