Mansi has over 8 years of industry experience in building enterprise grade distributed systems. She was part of the team that delivered MapR Streams. Prior to MapR she lead the development of two key components (policy based placement engine and cluster directory services) for VMWare's software-defined shared storage solution, VSAN. Before VMWare she was part of research team at IBM Almaden Lab, working on IBM's General Parallel File System. She was also involved in early research work for running analytic applications against GPFS. Outside of work she loves backpacking through the world and taking to the skies in small single engine airplanes.
