Patrick is part of the Business Development team at MapR, tasked with creating a partner-friendly platform. Previously, Patrick was the Manager of Systems Engineering for Hadapt, as well as a Senior System Engineer for HP Vertica.His background surrounds big data from some of the early origins. He started as a Java developer and became an Oracle DBA. From there, he did consulting on the high availability of financial systems. Subsequently, he began working in the big data field at HP Vertica. Patrick attended Carnegie Mellon University where he earned a BS in Business and Computer Science in 3 ½ years.
